I use a Winchester M70 to hunt in MB. Inherited it from my grandpa. Years ago, the stock cracked along that tang bolt (twas a sad day) . Young and inexperienced - I glued and screwed best I could and it is holding strong. It has taken many, many deer since. Anyone ever replace an original Winchester stock with a synthetic replacement? Care to suggest which synthetic stock you used? Many thanks!!!

There are lots of synthetic stocks out there for Winchester Model 70's. I put a Macmillan "Hunter" on mine.

It worked out well but there are other servicable, good stocks out there: Banser, Bell and Carlson, H-S Precision - to name a few.

Probably the place to start is determine, from the serial number, which model 70 you have and then you can just track down what you want.
