Stock Service Pistol?

Yes, he was ok if he was shooting ESP or CCP if it fits in the box. I suspect that was what he really was shooting but in Texas, who knows? Some fun stages to be sure. I like the car stage. On the last stage he starts with six rounds, which is ok if that was the start position.

He's also running a "race hammer" (aftermarket), which isn't allowed under SSP. That's an ESP gun regardless of start condition.

The hammer that's being shown in the video was the original hammer that the STI GP6s were shipped to dealers with.

Ah then we just have cocked & locked. The shooter might not know the rule. Difficult to catch as an SO because you rarely know what division the shooter is registered in Kind of odd though. Most of our members note the differences in divisions pretty quickly. It was caught on the youtube posting so I suspect somebody at the club has heard about the mistake by now.

I asked IDPA about the SSP status of the STI GP6 - whether it was to be considered a discontinued firearm (with a total production less than the required 20K units), or whether it was to be considered a variant of the still-in-production Grand Power (with an annual production of greater than 2K units) - and I was advised that it was considered to be, for all intents and purposes, a re-badged Grand Power, and thus still eligible for SSP (and ESP).

Wendall the AC for Texas has been notified. I have no idea how HQ tracks production rates for firearms. I doubt they do. I know over the time I was more involved with HQ I know of only a few firearms that were identified as to have either not met production numbers and they tended to be fully custom shop guns using regular production models as their base. Some of the CZ Customs guns I remember were Identified as not production guns. There may have been others.

Not again... Yes, again.

This guy's motto must be something like: "Always cheat, always win, and then post it on YouTube."

We will see how he finishes once the match is over. Stage 6 has been dropped. We are shooting half the match on Sunday and the balance if the stages next month. I am not at all sure how many of our shooters will officially enter the match. I may just for fun. $15.US to enter isn't much,

STI GP6, would be like Springfield P9, basically a CZ clone. I know not the same gun. But was a way to get a pistol in a country that wouldn't be allowed any other ways.

New STI GP6 pistol is really of Slovakian K-100 Grand Power pistol

An observant forum poster, warhawke, noticed that “new” STI GP6 pistol bore a striking resemblance to the Slovakian K-100 Grand Power pistol. They are in fact one of the same, although there is no mention of the pistols’ heritage on the STI website (here or here).

^ If you watch the video, the question (in my original post) wasn't about the STI GP6's status; the question was about the position of the hammer at the start signal, and the declared division, SSP.

^ Then, if you watch the video in post #14, the question wasn't about the Tanfoglio Stock 1's status; the question was about the magazine well, and the declared division, SSP.

Apparently, they do things differently down in The Permian Basin.

Guess didn't research much..

8.2.1.1 Start Condition

Selective DA/SA firearms will start hammer down.
Firearms with a hammer de-cocking lever or button will have their hammer de-cocked using the lever or button.
If the hammer must be lowered by pulling the trigger and manually lowering the hammer, the hammer will be lowered to the lowest position possible.
Manual safeties may be engaged at the shooter’s discretion.

Also who cares what a youtuber does..
