Stock suggestions for my Tikka T3 lite

Hey everyone. This spring I picked up a Tikka T3 lite in 7mm Rem Mag in stainless and topped it with a Vortex diamondback 3.5x10x50. Love the rifle the trigger pull is smooth and the action is like butter and it groups well for me off the bench out to 200 with regular federal blue box. Only thing I dislike is with the hollow light weight stock she thumps my shoulder pretty good. I had a friend who worked on the rifle counter at whole sale sports and he said to fill the stock with expanding foam to fill the void and throw a limb saver recoil pad on after and the recoil will be close to half while keeping the overall weight down. This is my main hunting rifle now and I do do a fair amount of walking so weight is a major consideration.

What do you all suggest? Let's hear what you use! Thanks in advance
 
I like the foam filling. pretty much do all hollow synthetics I own. quites them down. the limb saver is a shoulder saver. the tikka pads are pretty hard. with the limb saver I find the 7 mag tikka quite soft to shoot.all my t3's have limb savers. huge difference for a $35 investment.
 
I used a B&C for a few years on my t3 300, it helped a lot in the actually feel of the rifle, helped a little bit with the recoil. Just recieved a ^^^ wildcat in the mail tho, very happy with what I got although I have not finished and fired it yet. 19 oz difference from a wc blank compared to the B&C I have, just for added info.
 
I put a McMillan Sako Compact on my tikka 223, love it. My buddy is doing a McMillan Edge on his Tikka 280 Ackley build.
 
I have a Tika 300 wsm synthetic stock, which I love, but it was painful to shoot, and I don't hurt easy! The limbsaver recoil pad fit perfectly and transformed the gun!
 
Wild Cat. Bit of work to finish them but overall a nice stock, and they are light. Did one on a 6.5X47. Bare blank was 17.2 oz. Will weigh once I get it back from Hydro dipping. Will be a few OZ heavier with bedding and dipping. For the cost and being so light I don't think you can beat the Wild Cat.
 
I went the Limbsaver route on my 308 T3 Lite. For a couple shots a year while hunting it wasn't a problem anyway, but the hockey puck Tikka passes off as a butt pad doesn't belong on any modern rifle IMO. The Limbsaver makes a BIG difference, though it does increase the LOP a bit.
The spray foam is a good idea, it should get rid of the hollow sound the butt stock makes when you tap it.
 
I was just at the Wildcat stocks headquarters on Friday. I got to handle the first Tikka stock that was made, all I have to say is wow! I am in the process of building a lightweight model 7. I have had a few Tikka rifles. The way that Tikka handled I'm almost thinking my next build may be on a tikka. All of the wildcat stocks I handled were very well built, and look great. Stuart is a great guy to deal with.
