Hi guys. I have a Scorpio EM332a, exceptionally great little rifle for the price. There's one problem though; the stock is so ugly I wanna barf! Do any of you know if there are any traditional looking stocks available, wood or plastic, that would fit this rifle? If not, is there something close enough that could be fitted with a bit of modification?

Somewhere around $500 and you can import one from Keng in the US...
Probably best to live with it....it's a $200 rifle. Stock is solid at least, fairly sriff, the NS 522 wood stocks are Chu and soft as butter.

You could always build up the stock to the shape you want using a thick styrofoam, then cover the whole thing in carbon fibre mesh. Use an epoxy/hardener, a bit of sanding, and you’ll have a nice stock.

Some people have done things with this rifle as discussed here;

Had to look this up as I've never heard of one and then I threw up a little.

I had a similar reaction when I first saw a picture of one (albeit without the involuntary throw up) however it grew on me and I ordered one, the fit is perfect so I have forgiven the looks for the perfect fit.

I cannot find fault in the fit and finish of the stock and metal work taking into account the price.

Can’t be much worse than some of the “tactical” stuff floating around. I just ordered two from Tenda, mostly because of the price.

I actually kinda like it, resembles a break action air rifle. I mean, it wouldn't be granted admission to the after hours that rages in my safe, but it's still kinda nifty.

Well, I received the two I ordered. I skidded into the post office at 5:01, stuck my head in the door and asked if I had any fishing rods come in. She looked at me kind of oddly and said there was “something” for me. The poor woman came staggering out from the back with a box big enough for me to hide in. I took it to the shop and opened it. There were, indeed, two skinny little boxes with rifles and the rest of the space was taken up with empty boxes. My goodness!

I will say that the boxes holding each rifle are of excellent design and quality, ten times better than what CZ rifles come in. Although I can’t bring myself to like any stock with holes in it, I am impressed with how these rifles come up to sight. I will have to scope one and try it out.

No, Anschutz 54 would be closer.

Yes, you're right but CZ/BRNO take off stocks regularly are on tables at gunshows in the $75 range and I've actually fitted a Brno take off stock to one of these rifles.

It's closer than many would believe and it wasn't a big job.

Yes, I had to apply a bit of filler and remove a bit of wood to make it fit. But fit it did and well.

They're very decent little rifles, with a bit of polishing of the bolt and inside of the receiver, things smooth up very quickly. Some trigger work is also warranted as the rifle I worked on had at least a 8 pound pull.

The original stock is fugly but functional.

If you can't do the fitting yourself, IMHO, it's not worth the effort or expense.
