Stock treatments

Got a bottle of Howard's feed n wax in the box with a Cooper I bought from Prophet River not too long ago.
Wondering if this is the best stuff to use on oiled type stocks like coopers , beretta , etc.
I have been reading a lot of mixed reviews on the Howard's product so wondered if anyone had some thoughts on the best way to keep my wood stocks looking like new.

Does anyone have a recommendation of what to use instead? I guess there are other bees wax carubanna wax combinations out there?
Any personal preferences ?
I guess if it I came in the box it must be good but just wondered if anyone had any experience .

Check out Renaissance Wax. I came across it in some posts on the doublegunshop forum.

As a reference, Midway USA has a YouTube video where Larry Potterfield shows the benefits of using Renaissance wax (a brand of microcrystalline wax polish) and how to apply it.

Interesting. I may run over to Lee Valley and grab some to try. I used the Howard's a few times but it's sort of making me question with all the bad posts I've been seeing.

Has anyone used both Conservator's Wax and Renaissance Wax? The Conservator's Wax certainly appears to be a better price.

Never used renaissance wax but Lee valley conservators wax is the bees knees, light or heavy coat rub out or rub in, it works wonders. Great water proofer to, like water off a gulls back.

After polishing, do you see any finger prints on the stock when handling?
