I think most owners of a Tok are collectors of a sort. Most would like the gun original. Some purists wouldn't be happy with anything less than a Russian made gun that served in WWII. While some would be welcoming of a shoulder stock. I don't think many would move but I could be wrong. It comes down to what your time is worth to you. Can you live with a dozen sales if it does not take off?
If you could find a way to get a longer barrel with that stock, I think a 7.62x25 carbine would be very interesting
Chinese toks are almost free, so I dont really see any collectability there so there are a lot of possible donors.
Make it ###y looking and not mad max and I think you would have lots of attention.
I love my Tokarov and would love a short barreled carbine of sorts based on it (UMP/MP7 sized)
The question you really need to answer is how much they would cost and how much, if any, modification would need to be done to the gun itself. It does sound like a pretty cool idea, and assuming it was priced right, I might just have to pick one up.
