"something more ergonomic and fit" is quite subjective, maybe if you share your budget and a bit more information we can fine tune the responses....
Do you want a stock with adjustable length of pull, cheek weld in a chassis for over $1000.00 or do you prefer traditonal wood stocks more along the lines of what Buck suggests with Boyd's? Boyd's makes some nice stocks and so does MDT.
The Ruger American Rimfire is a pretty popular rifle so you should be able to find something to your liking..... even some of the Ruger American Rimfire Target series rifles come with better stocks that should allow most users to get a good ergonomic fit but getting one from Ruger might be a challenge in Canada. You could try reaching out to the Ruger distributors in Canada if one of the Ruger stocks is to your liking.
