Stocks for sporter Enfield

nope. gonna go and bubba that first one. :D

of course i'm gonna use the second one! i'm not a complete idiot! lol. i don't really like the feel of the smaller stock.

so, what's out there for me?

thanks Vimy. i dunno about that mossy oak one, but i like the looks of the black synthetic, and the price is right too. how much gunsmithing is involved? it looks like it's juts a matter of removing the barrel and action from the old stock, and dropping it into the new one. but in the picture of the synthetic, i don't see the metal band that goes around the stock near the trigger. does this get removed?

I think you're looking at the wrong picture, not all of those stocks are for Enfields. Normally an Enfield has a two-piece stock, unless it's specially altered. That band is part of the receiver. Just take the stock off your old rifle and put on the new, easy. These ATI stocks may require minor fitting or may just slide right on, I don't know as I've never had one, maybe someone else can chime in on that. Oh and always take the buttstock off last and put it on first or you can damage or crack the forestock!!!

This is a No1 barreled receiver but it's the same idea.
