I'm having issues trying to decide what to do regarding the stock on my M305 Scout. It's still in the Norinco ccomposite stock.
I ordered a CASM mount. So that means I will want a cheek riser. Adjustable are around 100 as I won't drill through my stock.
Next, I've read that the factory norc stock leave less to be desired and will need a fair amount of work bedding, etc. I've never bedded anything before, and would lie to try. However I'm not sure I want this to be my first crack at it.
So, after doing all this work, needing the cheek riser, etc, is it worth the extra few bucks for something like an archangel stock? Will the archangel need to be bedded as well? I like the functionality of the archangel, but I'm not sure I'm that tacti-cool enough for it.
Or, do I buy a boyds walnut as it's much stiffer than the factory composite and go from there?
Can anyone share some experience with a newbie to this platform?
Thanks!
