Hello all,

I've been wanting to get a coach gun for a while now.
I saw the ones marketed under the Stoeger name on a website, looked pretty cool.

Does anyone know how durable/reliable these guns are?

Thanks

my friends call it the 'easy gun' for knocking down skeets

Yer friends shoot much? With a double trigger and recoil that could drop a cow, it's a difficult skeet gun. I've only passed 100 straight once. May never do it again.
It is the most difficult skeet gun I own. It will beat you down over a 200 round tournament.
The "easy gun" of which you speak is of course an over/under. Yes, I own them too.

I wore out a c.1996 IGA (Stoeger) Coach Gun. It was my go to skeet & sporting clays gun for 3 years. It saw about 13k rounds before the wobble between the receiver halves became intolerable. I shot it far more than every other shotgun I have touched put together. I think this is why I now despise long barreled shotguns.

There good guns and probably the main shotgun for the cowboy action crowd along with the 1897 Winchester. Buy one shoot it till it dies and get another one. They are cheap and serve there purpose well.
