Stoeger Double Defense

I picked one up the other day. Stock was their cheap wood stock painted black with what looked and fe.t like spray paint, has a cheapy fiber optic and a rail that looks like a drunk 12 year old sodered it on with an old coat hanger. It would get thiercoach gun supreme if I was to buy any double barrel

The one at the shop here seemed to have a rubberized stock... felt nice. But the rail and fiber optic bead sight was cheap looking.

We're talking about the same double defense right? Sidebyside with rails all over it? Anybody putting a red dot, flashlight, and vertical grip on a side by side should really reassess their priorities.

Think it's a neat little contraption, but it's not practical by any means

Ya well of course its not practical... its a 2 round shotgun! Last time I checked the only people that need guns are LE or Military.... which I'd say is less than 5% of the members here. So that would mean 95% are here because of wants, not needs. LOL I wouldn't put any red dots lights or other accessories on a side by side, I just thought it was cool to see a tactical style SxS instead of the usual cowboy version.

Whoa just caught onto these oddballs.

Interesting. Kinda fun looking.

Can't find any price points for anyone carrying either the hs12 or stoeger in canada though. THey would have to be relatively affordable to warrant buying one of these over any standard shottie. From what little info I've seen on the interwebs, they seem to be made on the "economy" end of thigns regarding fit and finish...

Want more info, pics, suppliers etc...

Anyone have one? Do they even sell them in Canada? My local shop has one and I've always wanted a side by side and it looks cool. Its not that much money I may just get it for the hell of it.

Hi there. I've got one and it's a hoot and a half. Sure the stock is painted wood but you buy a shotgun like this to shoot, not enter in a beauty contest. The only nitpick I had about mine was the action was stiff....a couple of boxes of shells later....no more stiffness. If you can get a good deal and you want it, get it.

Cheers:cheers:

If used for defense a sxs is very practical. One slug 1 load of buck shot. Sxs's swing and come up fast and at moderate to close range no handgun is going to stop a threat better then a 12ga. They are however built more cheaply then the standard line. Function very well and its not a gem so you can beat the hell out if it. Remember coach guns were used for defense of coach/box cars. They sell out fast wherever stocked thus meaning the market is strong for such a firearm. I'm not chosing sides but if I had to use a weapon for HD. I'd be happy to use a sxs
