I'm thinking about buying a Condor Outback O/U 20GA for two reasons - I'd like a 20GA for hunting upland birds and other small game, and I'd like a 20GA shotgun to ease my wife into shooting without starting her on my Benelli 12GA.
I like the fact that the Outback comes with both the IC and Mod chokes - the bottom barrel fires first with the wider/closer-range IC choke, and then upper barrel goes second with the tighter Mod choke (if you miss with the bottom shot, you have a chance at the tighter top shot as the bird is flying away).
So heres my question - if you take down your game with your first shot (the bottom barrel), is there any way you can "reset" the inertia trigger so that your second shot doesn't go with the top barrel? Is there any indication on the Outback which barrel will fire? I've heard that you can change which barrel the trigger will fire by "bumping" the stock with your hand...how do you be sure?
EDIT - does opening the action reset the trigger so the bottom barrel fires next?
Any help (or even a link to the user guide which I can't seem to find using Google) much appreciated.
