Stoeger Outback

Not sure if this is good or bad but I think the bottom barrel fires first. If theres a misfire of some sort you may need to smack the buttstock on a tree to reset the trigger. I almost bought one once.

I have the nickel/stainless outback in a 20gauge. Works great, simple design, reliable. Bottom barrel goes first. If there is a misfire you have to reset the safety which sets the top barrel.
Not a big fan of the auto safety set once the action is closed. Will likely try to mod it later. If anyone has a link where it can be done I would appreciate it.
As far as the gun itself goes, I like it; no problems at all.
I would recommend you inspect the gun first hand rather than order out however. I had three to choose from and there were some obvious differences in fit and finish. One had a very loose action with uneven mill marks on the barrel end, not pretty.
I picked the one with the tightest action and have been very happy.
If you are looking for a reliable bush gun with basic sights you can't go wrong. Plus, the screw in chokes are a nice feature.
Good luck.
