I ordered one of these on Monday. It should be at the post office by the time I get home from working in camp. I am anxious to try it out. Gophers from my neighbours pasture have invaded the yard and with all the new homes springing up within 1/2 mile of my one last clear shooting lane I am not going to use my .22 lr any longer. This will be my first high power air rifle. Any advice on sighting in distance? Should I sight for 25 yards and just learn the holdover for say 40-50 or do these guns shoot fairly flat out to 40-50 with a 25 yard zero?

You can download "Chairgun" for free from Hawke optics. If you can chronograph your gun to see what it's truly shooting (or use the factory specs, they're sometimes close) you can input the info and see what zero range will give you the best trajectory for the distances you think you'll be shooting. Changing your zero range allows you to see how many clicks or mil-dots are required for several distances. It's a very helpful program and it's easy to use.
