Hi Guys,

Check the "Spooky Marine Magnum" thread not too far below ... specifically the second-last post ... mine.

Earlier today my friend's truck was stolen from where he works ... along with the cased trigger-locked shotgun and my registration certificate and the trigger-lock key (in the glovebox).

He was going to take it to his friend's shop after work today.

S***

Thank you ...

I'll get the truck details tomorrow ... colour, make, year ... funny, it all escapes me now! He's been a regular visitor for a year (with his young son) ... has a weekend place near here ... "maintains" the summer place of an older fellow nearby ... we had Christmas Eve supper together ... jawed around the truck a couple dozen times ... and all I can remember is that it's an "older" GM model.

I'd make a helluva witness to a bank robbery!:)

Hi Captain,

Lady Luck has smiled down on us.

Earlier today, a hockey buddy of my friend spotted the truck many miles from where it was stolen ... with almost everything intact ... including that alley-sweeper (in the wrong hands) firearm. Whew ...

Basically, some economically-disadvantaged but non-malicious goofs boosted the truck for a ride home.

So let's all raise a glass to Ms Luck. Serendipity is more than a cute name for a dress shoppe.

Similar thing happened to me some years ago. Grads from West Van were trying to get home drunkenly at 3am from downtown and jumped in my '64 Parisienne ragtop. My neighbor caught them trying to hot wire it by twisting two speaker wire leads together.
