There must not have been insurance, is this correct. Or did you buy it back from the insurance company. Anyway it is great that you are getting your gun back. Now just hoping they haven't trashed it.

I had two stolen in 2007... I recovered one from local RCMP about 18 months ago, and the other is still in lockup with the Edmonton Police as evidence awaiting trial? Not sure when they recovered that one, but I believe it's a couple of years ago.

It's funny how people automatically bring up the Insurance Company.....screw the insurance company!....how about sharing in the guys excitement....and not try to ruin the moment with politics. He's obviously still the registered owner or he would never have been contacted. Leave it alone and say "YAY for the good guy"

got the call from my local PD that it was recovered two months ago and that it was in the possetion of the OPP .
The opp called me on Friday to tell me that they were done with forensics and I could pick it up any time ..
I told him that I would have to get a statt. and I would be there asap .
then he told me "AHHHHHH why don't we just forget about all that sh%t , how about I just drop it off to ya ".
So I said Hell ya that would be great arrangments have been made for today ..... so heers hoping all goes as planned ...
And no it was not insured . that was the first question the city police asked .

Even if I was insured, and I wasn't gettn it back im still increadebly happy to know its off the streets and not is some dirty bastards hands

Congrats! Hopefully its in good condition

That is fantastic news. Get the #### outta the hands of low lifes and back home where it belongs. Even if the condition is great, still must feel good to know it will be back with ya.
A very big cheers to the police that recovered it.

Yes big cheers to the police , and this goes far to say, and to de bunk all the ka ka that some people spread about police how they are trying to take all our guns away .
and it shows my that at least some detachments still have faith in the public .at least the public that matters

It may be hard for a newfie to understand, but how is asking the guy about if it was covered under insurance a political thing?
