Heads up for the people in Fox Creek, Edson, Mayerthorpe, Whitecourt area.

Stoney Creek Outfitting has opened a new store in Whitecourt selling archery, rifles etc...

It is located just off Hwy. 43 near the RCMP HQ.

They have an indoor range to allow a person to shoot bows.

Prices look pretty good too.

Yes, I can finaly buy a gun in my own town again.

They are located just off the main highway, just east of Tim Horton's between the cop shop and the Golden Delight resturant.

I have been told the prices are nearly the same as Whole Sale Sports.

FYI I bought a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9X40 for $275 today at Stoney Creek Outfitters. Wholesale Sports sells the same scope for $250, I cannot drive to Edmonton and back for the $25 difference.

Maybe through Wholesale Sports mail order business I could get it cheaper, but this involved no waiting.

Also I like the idea of supporting a local business, especially when they are going to operate on a margin that is fair.

I'm sure if they do not have what you are looking for they would get it in.

Hey guy's, a dumb question for you. Is this store on top of the hill or down below? My clan is coming up to the Carson Pegasus for a reunion this summer, might get a chance to stop by.

There is also a little hunting shop right by my Grampa's, in Debolt. I believe it is where the little diner used to be by the Esso right along #43.Never been there myself but Grampa sure likes going!

If you're coming into Whitecourt from Edmonton, it's just after McDonald's. If you're going from Fox Creek then it's just after you climb the hill from Canadian Tire way...

For $25 I would buy locally if you ever need service your local dealer is the one who is going to take care of you. And if your thier customer that much better service should be provided.

Checked out the store on opening day. Pretty decent selection and it can only get better. They did a great job of getting my bow back into shape. I gotta stop going in there, that 100th anniversary 30.06 is calling my name.
