Storing rimfire ammo in cold

Is there any downside to storing ammo in a dry but unheated outdoor shed (with cold, -20-30c temps)?

No problem with the cold, but it may sweat when the temps warm up causing tarnishing and the boxes holding some dampness.

yep, however temperature typically gradually changes overall so likely not a big deal, I am sure this stuff has sat on trucks for a few days in the winter before it reaches stores and no harm done, I have done it with no ill effects personally

I feel it's more of a problem when temps are up and down..

Mine is kept in the garden shed

Get'em cold and leave them cold. No condensation that way

Get an ammo can with a gasket and you should have no problems with humidity.

No condensation that way and they stay fresh. snicker. Worst that might happen is some ignition issues if you try shooting 'em right out of the deep freeze.

Store them in an ammo can with dessicant and you'll be good to go!

yep. I have friends that leave their ammo in a shed outside for years, no issues.
