Does anyone know if the Storm Lake Glock 40-9 conversion barrels will work in a G22 Gen 4? I emailed Storm Lake twice and nobody emailed me back. And there is no info on their website.

You can order direct from Storm Lake...I believe it adds $49 to the price for the exporting...and for the G22 Gen4 I'm pretty sure the conversion would work as the barrel dimensions haven't changed from what I can tell.

My storm lake took about 2 months to show up. Mine was for my 1911 but the quality of the barrel is like a norinco compared to my Sig Barrel. The barrel bushing supplied by storm lake wouldn't even fit into my 1911 and also wasn't very nicely done.

I paid $250ish for the barrel, link, pin, cam and bushing, as far as I'm concerned the package is barely worth $150. I haven't shot through the barrel yet so it still has a chance to redeem itself.

Gen 3 and Gen 4 use a different RSA and isn't the slide dimensions a tad different also? Just wondering if the larger RSA from a Gen 4 would work in the 1/2 moon cutout on the barrel lug.

Lone Wolf Has it on their website that their barrels are compatible with Gen 3 and Gen 4.

I have a Lone Wolf conversion barrel for my gen4 G22. pretty sure gen3 and 4 barrels are of the same dimensions.

I would like to know how well one of these has worked for you.... Just purchased a Gen4 22 & have been looking at ordering one of these from Questar even though they are 8 to 12 weeks backordered.

My research isn't proving too helpful...I've found guys on both sides of the coin...some say worked without issue and some are reporting FTF/FTE issues...but who knows how their guns are setup or changed. I guess you'll ultimately have to keep after Storm Lake to get a definitive answer.

Storm Lake ("SL") got back to me very quickly, I'm surprised at your result. Call them!

The barrel itself will take 2 months + to arrive. Questar ships them at some xpresspost level that takes 3 days, but SL make them as ordered and the export process is of course quite tedious. My Glock barrel (Gen 3 / 26) will prove itself on the range shortly.

I bought a used SL barrel in 9mm for my 1911 but it doesn't fit the Colt series 80 / Commander and I'm not willing to fit it or have that done. Will hit the EE with it as soon as I figure out which pistol it fits. They do nice work at Storm Lake. I'm a fan so far...

Storm Lake doesn't export... they take the order from the customer and then they ship it to our US office. Questar handles the export paperwork, shipment to Canada, Customs clearance, etc. and once it's here in Canada we send it to the Canadian end-user by Canada Post Expedited Parcel with Signature Required delivery. All of the export paperwork, customs clearance and even the taxes are included in the $49 charge that Storm Lake puts on the barrel when you order it off their website... there are no additional charges from Questar or Customs or Canada Post... barrel is delivered to your door.

Storm Lake rarely has the barrels in-stock so you usually wait 4 to 8 weeks for them to manufacture and then another 2 to 4 weeks for our export and final delivery to you... so figure 8 to 12 weeks total from time you place your order with Storm Lake.

As for quality, proof is in the results and results are in the accuracy and life expectancy of the barrel... Our experience with Storm Lake has been that they make some of the most accurate handgun barrels available today and at a price that is only slightly higher than the other brands that are out there.

The only barrels that I found better results with were BarSto but BarSto barrels required installation and fitting by a qualified gunsmith, (hence a tighter barrel gave a better accuracy result), and the costs were double the price and wait times (back when we dealt with them) were running upwards of 1 year. Storm Lake barrels were Drop-In ready 99% of the time and were so close in accuracy to the BarSto that we stopped handling BarSto a number of years ago.

Storm Lake are very good at responding to customers, including Canadian inquiries, so my guess is that they aren't receiving your email (either it's getting bounced or caught up in their junk filters somehow).

Try calling them and letting them know you're having difficulty reaching them by email... I'm sure you'll find them very responsive to your problem and your questions.

Thanks for the infos!

I have 3 Storm Lake barrels. I just received the newest one in the mail today. I ordered it on Feb. 1st. The wait times are long but the barrels are top quality. As for the original question, I have an older Glock 35 barrel that fits fine in my new Gen4 Glock 35 and functions 100 percent. The cut out for the RSA is smaller but it doesn't matter, it holds it in place and as soon as your rack the slide its moved off of that location anyways. On the new barrel that I ordered the cut out is larger and fits the Gen4 RSA better but the function is still the same.
