Hey, I just got my first vz858 in the mail this morning. I was looking at stocks to put on, and I found this adaper from stormwerkz that is straight, rather than angled down...

Question? Would the straight adapter with an Ar15 stock of some sort provide for decent sight alignment with a lower red dot sight??

I've heard that the vz can have a low sight picture with an angled stock.

I should have an answer for you on this one be the end of the week. Based on a "mock up" ie: a piece of tube level with the reciever, I think the answer is yes. Seems to be just about right on my scout mount with a low mounting job. If mounted on handguards maybe a medium/high ring/mount.

I bought two of those from them. haven't put it together yet, but the lineup looks great when I measured it. The original ar15 stock looks better than the ar14a2 stock because of the length of the adapter......

Have a CTR on mine with the straight adapter now. IMO, it's excellent. A very low mount on the handguards could possibly be a little too low. A very low mount on a scout mount is about perfect, tons of cheek weld. Even a "regular" height mount on the scout mount would be very usable with a partial cheek weld.

IMO, the gun points about a million times better now, but I am partial to short stocks and a fully collapsed CTR is pretty short on the VZ.
