I know some guns are happier with different ammo... thats fine. I bought all different kinds when I first got my Savage 93 .17 but today I got a deal I couldnt refuse on some winchester stuff. Its new, its good (and expensive if you dont get a sweet deal on it). But my gun is having a really terrible time shooting it. The firing pin hits the rim of the cartridge and dents it, but the round doesnt fire. If I put the round back in and try again, it will usually fire, only had one that wouldnt.
My gun doesnt like CCI... it jams up when its being loaded. But it fires every time. No problem... I think it has to do with the polymer tip. But this winchester stuff is just strange. Its like the rim of the cartridge is too stiff or too hard or something. Anyone have any thoughts on this. Anything I should look at? This only happens with winchester 17grain... nothing else.
