...I have an unusual shotgunning accessory called an Abercrombie & Fitch (1961 vintage) Beer Can Launcher. It is a hand held device used to launch empty beer cans in the air by using a .22 blank cartridge as a rocket booster. The only internet references that I have seen is an A&F 1961 advertisement. Has anyone else seen one of these devices?...Any information would be appreciated....thanks in advance.......

yep, had one and we put it to use in the late 70's early 80's. It would shoot the cans up in the air and we'd wack 'em with a 12 gauge. It would also shoot a retriever dummy too. It only fit the old style beer cans with the pull tabs. Good luck finding any of those these days!

Pretty much identical to retriever dummy launchers.
The "ramset" 22 cal ammunition used to be fairly easy to get and in different strengths. Man, those "purple" loads were some potent !
