Ok well I've been looking for a leather butt stock cover/shell holder for my Guide gun for some time, and most of my searches came up with US artists. I say artists because, well quite frankly I'm a moron and couldn't make this stuff.

This is a shout out to our own CGN leather worker Jon .... CGN handle JonMtl.
A few weeks back I ran across Jon's post here on CGN showing off his leather work so I PM'd him asking for a leather butt stock cover and shell holder, sent a couple pics of what I was looking for and in no time he said I can do what ever you like. He quoted me an amazing price including shipping ( not going to mention the price because it's custom work and I wouldn't want him getting flack from someone griping about a higher quote due to price increases in material and what not). But I will say two weeks and at my door for sub $100.

I just wanted to show his work, say thanks for awesome comms, and a super easy deal. I'll definitely be sending more of my business his way. I always try my best to support Canadian products and even more so for folks on CGN. Here are a few pics of my recent purchase and I have to say the pictures don't do it justice.

Some observations/comments

- I like to carry my spare ammo on a belt pouch in order to keep the carry weight of the rifle to a minimum.
- I never understood the reasoning for the leather wrap on the lever. Seems to me it would hold moisture to the metal and be a cause for rust and/or pitting.
- All looks nice though
