Strelok Ballistic Calculator.

Applied Ballistics is another but more$$$$, most say Strelok free is useless.

Strelok Pro seems pretty good so far and they are pretty good on updates....for example Burris just came out with SCR reticle and it is allready in his database. Other forum reviews say its pretty good out to 1000 yards.

Strelok Pro has alot more downloads than Applied Ballistics, and just as good of ratings.

Strelok, iSnipe, Ballistic AE, AB Mobile... I have all of them. Ballistic AE will let you add new reticles. You just need to provide it with a graphic and tell is the distances between the lines in the reticle. You can get those from the mfg's specs.

If you're just looking for a calculator to tell you where to hold on a BDC reticle, any of them will work fine. If you want the most precise solution for a long range shot, AB Mobile is the one to choose. It is the most advanced and most accurate ballistics calculator of all of them. It is the only one to incorporate things like aerodynamic jump in it's calculations.

I'm assuming AB is Applied Ballistics?

I use Strelok and find it's pretty good for getting you in the ballpark out to 1000yds. One of the best features is that after you enter all your info then shoot the rifle you can enter the actual holdover and it will correct your velocity number to increase it's accuracy at other distances. I just use the standard pressure and temp for this altitude setting for my ambient settings, might be more accurate if I had a weather station but I don't shoot really long distances that often so it's not worth the money to me.

I also have the Berger ballistics calculator but haven't used it much yet so not sure how good it is.

I also have those but have recently come to use the ShooterApp for my Apple iPhone 6 Plus. It does what the rest do but is far simpler and a lot faster to get a solution before the shot if you are prone to dialing in.

The free version has been good to me. I understand that I've only gone out to 600 yards, but its prediction for dope was off by only 1 click at that distance for both me and my friend. I wouldn't call it useless at all, maybe not as usefull as the paid versions but it is a great tool to get you started int he longer distances.

I have been using istrelok since it came out several years ago.
It is far from useless if you input all pertinent data accurately.
It has a trueing feature that allows you to use actual drop at distance to correct the muzzle velocity.

At the last precision rifle clinic I shot 50.9v on the deliberate fire stage so I wouldn't blame the firing solution on the application.
