what are the storage requirements for a stripped ar lower prior to installing the parts?

Yes, make sure its trigger locked

The rcvr is the gun. Lock her up good before some girl guide selling cookies accidentally finds all the parts, assembles them, finds the ammunition, inadvertantly loads it and shoots someone. Better safe than sorry. I would disguise the receiver as something harmless... label it as a can-opener and stuff it in the bottom of a bag of flour.

And what would be not amusing would be to loose all your working firearms for not locking up a non-working firearm. It is sad really, disgusting, to the point of bordering on criminal.
