so I was screwing my quad rail back on today and on the last screw, i guess i screwed it too tight and heard a "pop", and i said, DAMMIT! Now the screw wont tighten and my quad rail is a bit loose.. Am I screwed? do I have to buy a new quad rail?

ugh, this is what a i get for having a cheap quad rail i guess. the thing only cost like 40 bucks and im pretty sure its no name.. I think im just gonna buy a DD EZ Car rail.

Next time you screw it in, it's a non free float I am guessing, use a small about of locktite on the screws and avoid overtorquing. The locktite will prevent the screws from backing out, ergo you won't need to screw it in so far. As for fixing the screw itself now? I'd try what the other guy said about using a nut to tighten the bolt it space permits.

im debating between a free float midwest quad rail or a Daniel defense EZ Car NON-free float.. They are both within my price range (sub 200)

What do you guys think?

Daniel Defense is top notch stuff, that's whom I would go with. Not that midwest Industries is bad, but DD is great stuff.

Unless having the FF rail is better if you have railed sights or something. For a carbine a non free floated rail is fine.
