stripper clip cleaning

So I picked up a bunch of 308 stripper clips and a good amount of them are rusty. are they worth cleaning and how would you?

Depends on just how rusty they are. Pitted or flaking, trash. A little oxidation I throw them in my brass tumbler for a while. Most come out decent. Only problem is the media gets into any little space.

no flaking or pitting. I was thinking of putting them in my ss tumbler. but was worried about the parkerization .

Take 3 or 4 apart and toss'em in and see what happen's.

yea a ss tumber takes the parkerization right off. cleans the parkerization better then the rust

Put them in Evaporust filled container and follow instructions.I saved few clips, bullet molds and recently bayonet with that stuff.Works great.
