stuck choke

There's a "fishing reel handle" type of choke wrench ( Remington ) that has a square hole in the top centre of it. Gee.... a 3/8" ratchet fits the hole perfectly ! Put the barrel in a padded vise after soaking the choke end in penetrating oil... remember "tight right...left out" ( turn it counter-clockwise) ... use the ratchet ...gets the really tough ones out pretty quick.

Bingo, a little bit of silver anti-sieze paste before they go in saves a world of grief. As to what to do now, the advice here is good, let her soak in penetrating oil for a bit then ease it out. If you put the barrel in a vice be very very careful. Shotgun barrels are quite thin and easy to dent/buckle. You should be able to hold it or have a friend hold it while you work with the wrench.
 
Gently warming the outside of the barrel with a propane torch may help but be awfully darn carful. You can heat it enough to take the temper out, a better choice may be immersing the end of the barrel in a pot of boiling water or hot oil.
 
Thanks guys, That choke is in there. I've tried just about every thing now, I'm going to take it to a gunsmith I guess. The coke was oiled as well oh well looks' like im stuck with a fixed choke. Could be worse
