Ok, so I call Bushmaster, order a set of these:

When I start telling the person the address, he says.... whoa, Canader... can't ship there. I'm like, Ok no worries (seeing how there is no point to argue)

Anyhow, now to the "help me" part. Can someone (a store or whatever) bring these in for me? If so how much. These things are $43.50 US so I don't want to pay out the a** for them. Just let me know.

Why are pieces of plastic & aluminum now a no,no ?

It's not like they make the gun operational or non operational.

It has to do with the UN and ITAR which both Canader and the US subscribe to.

You now need a US State Dept export permit for every item. In order to get an Export permit now, you need an import permit from the country the item is to be shipped.

Don't blame the US, blame the freaking UN. Bushmaster and everyone else would love to take your money, but it is almost impossible to do it on a product to product basis. It is best you hammer on your dealers there to import the stuff you want in bulk.

Imagine what Bushmaster would make once they subtracted the cost of goods sold and the time taken to do an State Department Export permit for every item they sold. NADA.

All part of the mighty UN's big ####ing nose in everyones business. The corrupt bastages.
 
Thanks for clearing that up, about the UN. Why the hell should Canada and the US abide to what a bunch of whiners in the UN decide.... what they get to decide what's best for everyone.... BULLS*IT

Anyway.

Which Canadian dealer (Wolverine???) deals with Bushmaster, and could bring this in w/o a hassle. (hassle being a BIG markup). thanks.

If you aren't too picky and only need one, I have a slightly used handguard, with sight. I had cut out one of the top struts to mount an Elbit Falcon, but the thing is still serviceable.
 
It is worth the hassle if you import a bunch of them. How big of a bunch depends on what the minimum order might be that Bushmaster and Wolvarine (or whomever) are willing to do it for.

I pretty much despise the UN, ever last corrupt part of it. It embarrasses me to think I pined to be sent on a UN deployment while a young ignorant Canadian who "wanted to do his part." Canada was a large part of the State Department implementation of ITAR. They put political pressure on the US blaming them for Canada's "gun problems." :roll:

Anyhow, I will be getting it in the near future, now I need to find me a 20" upper, w/o handguards. I need my tony montana gun :lol:
 
The US Gov't came up with ITAR's do they coudl tell the UN to F off as they had their own controlls in place.

Canadian Gov't had the US-Canda exemption that the US had added to ITAR removed...

that may have been true at one point but iirc the USA has been withholding payments for a while(or is in default) to the tune of approximately 1.3 billion because they are tired of all the corrupt governments/organizations us the UN to screw the USA (and others)
i say good for them, the UN are almost as corrupt as our liberals and less accountable....
