getting into field target shooting,

bought a few ft targets, have lots of air rifle silhouette targets and for 22 lr. Probably 100 of them

bought some of the know your limits targets from steel targets in Alberta

got a really really nice styer lg110 from a fellow shooter,

any other used styer lg110 out there you think,
anybody other than Harvey Levine bring them in? he never brings them in unless they are ordered and
he does not know a price, just around ###x

looking at a 2010 ft but quite old, seller is ancient and does not want to answer questions

so just contact someone in a field target club if they know anybody that might get out of the sport

or just buy new

kind of looking for used as a training rifle in case it gets dropped, banged a bit,
the one I bought is almost too nice to shoot until I get better at this sport

thoughts please

Jeff

If you want a dedicated FT rifle you will likely need to order one. This guy discusses using a non FT rifle (.22cal) as a FT rifle. A long read though.

It's probably late in the day, or my brain is slow... but you bought a "nice" LG110 and are looking at buying a 2nd one?

- Harvey is the only one that list them on his site.
- Nordic, they said they could get the Match but weren't sure about the HFT... that was a year (or two) ago.
- You could get them from Anschutz-USA, but there pricing is, how can I put it, not very competitive.
- From the EU, Krale no longer ships airgun to Canada. Apparently Miroslav Varga does... never ordered a rifle from him, but a few accessories.

Unless you're real clumsy and tend to neglect your rifle. I'd shoot the one you have... Unless you have the urge to get yet another rifle!

Thinking aloud... As far as the 2007 rifle.
- If the price is right, shoots ok and hasn't been abuse... I can't think of a reason not to get it.
- ISSF match have a 10 years lifespan-rule for the air cylinder. Not sure how it works for FT.

They are fairly simple (and reliable) air rifle.
Should you need to service it, all the how-to videos are available on Youtube... straight from Steyr. And if you are not sure about something, you can ask Steyr and they'll get back to you within a day or two.

Depending how fast (or slow) you want to push the pellet (I'll assume the rifles are in 177). You might want to have the regulator pressure checked.
- The 7,5 and 16 joules rifle should have their regulator pressure at 85 bars
- The 24 joules and some of the HP models were set at 125 bars...

As for finding a used Steyr in Canada... It would probably worth your while to check on TargetTalk (That's where I found mine) and/or mention it to Jocelyn @ Cible Target Canada. Maybe he knows someone wanting to trade a LG100/LG110 Match...

There can't be more than a handful of them sold any given years.

Robbie (globalstar 66 ) had one for sale on CAF FYI..
He’s in Alberta also , kelly

went to cow town and bought his rifle, wow is it nice
Robbie is one good guy as well. spent a few hours there and got to know him a bit, nice guy

was looking for a second rifle, I am old and not many more years left to enjoy this hobby so another rifle would be nice

was hoping to find another likenewish Steyr

if one must buy new then maybe a USA Thomas ftr rifle would be nice but crap are they expensive $3500 USA dollars, not sure if importing is
like a real rifle or easier

just looking for a second field target gun, just don’t want to pay for new and then add to it through accessories

I have a Raw TM 1000 like new ,if you are interested ,blue/grey lam. silver metal 18 fpe and a hammer and spring to change to 12 fpe...,kelly1

There's another one listed by Superfrog on CAF. Don't know the guy

yes it is a 2010without much on it and a scope that does not work, for only a couple hundred less than the one I bought, not interested but thanks for the idea
got some info off of super frog but just not for me at this time

The picking in Canada is pretty slim. Initially, I was after a LG100 Match with the take-down lever... For a reason or another, I just really like the hornet-laminated...

Often enough, they show up for sale on AirgunNation... but with the Canadian $ this low... they are not exactly bargains

It was REALLY awesome to meet you, and I'm glad my Steyr found an amazing home Jeff. And like I said to you in my email earlier this week - just use the one you have - no use buying a second one to "spare" the other. Get used to the one you have, and enjoy it.

Chat soon.

Cheers

Robbie
