SU-16 front sight/muzzle question

Does anyone know the dimensions of the muzzle diameter and the distance from the end of the barrel to that shoulder the front sight butts up to?
I would do the measurements myself but I don't have the rifle with me.

I just recently installed a flash hider without threading the barrel therefore the flash hider covers this ring but I can still get the length for you but not the diameter. You may get the diameter off the Keltec site. I will get length in a couple hours when I get home.

How are you securing the flash hider to the barrel if it isn't threaded?

A gunsmith made a replica barrel, then bored out flash hider to 1000 th of inch , then he had to heat it and gentl tap it on. When it cooled down it couldn't move . The then drilled and tapped three small holes and put in three small screws similar to scope mount screws. I believe the the screws are into the barrel. There are pics on another thread here. Because it was bored out I was able to install the hider further on the barrel. I haven't fired the rifle yet so it hasn't been tested. But it feels really solid , will try it out this weekend . Also flash hider is approximately 3 inches long , about 2 inches covers the barrel , I Cana get better measurements when I get home if you like.

Raised ring is 1 3/4 inches from muzzle tip , flash hider is 3 1/4 inch long. Not sure of diameter .

Man that seems like an awfully big job to do that plus it sounds expensive. Thanks for those pictures I was going to ask you about them.
Thx for the measurements too, looks like the muzzle diameter is .530
I'm a machinist so I'm looking to make a muzzle break for mine.
I have a thread that shows the work I've done on it already if you want to check it out.

Btw do you still have the original barrel??

The barrel is the original one. The gunsmith just took a 8 inch steel rod and machined it to the exact size of the barrel, so he could try the flash hider on that first.He said he then applied some heat and installed it on the barrel. I don't know if it matters but the hider is white metal.it cost me $100 for the labor. $60 for the flash hider. There is Su16 f for sale on EE 9th or 10th page,it has all the specs listed for the rifle including barrel diameter .
