It seems I need a new rifle to help shoot through all my .223 reloading components as my only current .223 is now a prohib.

I know some are going to call me crazy and tell me how terrible this rifle is, but I think I want to buy one and see for myself. It has a lot of positives to go with all the bad press it gets, light weight and portability being the two main ones, and taking AR mags, being relatively inexpensive, and non-restricted don't hurt either.

Anyways, someone let me know where these are available, they appear to be sold out everywhere in Canada from what I've seen.

Honestly most of the haters are people who haven't owned one. I have one and it shoots great. Only down side is the stock screws came loose the first time shooting it. Snugged them up and good to go.

The only place that may have them is Irunguns. I haven't seen them anywhere in canada lately.

Yeah, it seems like a capable rifle to me with a lot of appeal. I'm not expecting bolt action accuracy, just a fun, lightweight gun. Good for the truck or backpacking, plinking, even hunting.

I was pleasantly surprised by how accurate my su16 was for saying it felt like a tupperware rifle in my hands, the only reason I ended up selling it was I was paranoid the receiver was going to crack as i didn't trust the design.

It was light, handy, reliable and accurate, but at $1100 or more I wouldn't buy another one, it was bad enough worrying about it breaking when it was $700

I've had two or three, found them well made and reliable despite their cheap feeling because they're so light. Currently in the market for another one all of a sudden too!

Older models can crack, its just a question of whether or not your piston rod decides to thread out and you dont catch it in time. The new models supposedly have this problem rectified. Time will tell. If u buy one keep an eye out for polymer deformation in the charging handle slot. Its the tell tale sign of your bolt pounding the reciever into oblivion lol

The tactical models are a sweet handling package tho! They feel waaaaaay more robust then the other SU models. I use my buddies for 3gun with great success. Fabricated an XCR style bolt release for it in an afternoon.

Were any other models other than the SU16f that are legal and non-restricted in Canada? Just curious in the event that I look at importing from the U.S. as an option.

My su16 predator is my favorite rifle, hands down!

Easy to take down and clean. 300 rds in and not a single issue. Light, small and stores away anywhere. My only worry is how well the plastic will hold up over the years

It may not be my 'go to war' choice lol, but it is my go-to.

Thanks. I'm keeping ny eyes open, sadly I missed the SU16 that just went a couple days ago for $700 on the EE. I wish I'd bought one of these awhile ago, it's an interesting gun.

I am looking for one also.

Which would any of you get of the following:

1. Wolverine Supplies WS-MCR Rifle 5.56 Nato 18.7" Barrel, Non-Restricted, OR

2. KelTec SU 16 Tactical?

Both close in price. Yes I know both have faults.
