Hey guys.

I bought a Bushnell AR optics Digital Sentry 2x night vision monocular this week end at a respected store.

That store does not normally sells crap.

But my god does this thing suck...

The IR illuminator is so small that I can't see #### past 10 meters. The field of view is so small that, even though it's only a 2x, it feel like I'm looking through a cheap 24x scope.

It says that the field of view is 28ft @ 100m b ut it honestly feels half of that.

In short... I just threw 399$ plus taxes down the drain. I feel raped, betrayed...

I want a night vision. I'd like something that attaches like a PVS-14 but I would be willing to settle for a hand held only if that's all my budget can afford.

Are all other Bushnell night vision that bad, or was I just unlucky enough to buy an outdated model? I was looking at trying the newer Bushnell Equinox Z2 but I'm scared to loose another 400$.

I know that I won't be able to buy something with a real analog tube at that price, so I'm stuck with a digital model, but I wan't something usable and trust worthy that I'll be able to rely on...

Sightmark Wraith

Pvs 14 is my obvious choice as soon as I can muster up the money… Will look into the Sionyx Aurora in the mean time.

If your budget is sub $1000, the Sionyx will be a good choice. I can't speak to the Wraith, but with a good illuminator, you will have a good time with the Aurora. It does decent on its own in half moon conditions and greater, which is quite good for digital.
