Sub MOA.

Stupid question but when a gun manufacturer garrantees a sub MOA rifle, is that at longer distances like 4 or 500 yards or is it just at 100 yards. I get that sub MOA at 500 yards is 5 inches not 1 inch but does the rifle have to keep that same kind of accuacy out to longer distances?

if it shoots sub moa at 100 it should be able to shoot sub moa out to atleast 500 yards, well thats what i think anyways

Depends on the company some just guarantee sub moa and some will guarantee sub moa to "###"yards. Keep in mins this guarantee his with " the highest industry standards " meanin you will need to be using federal gold match or the likes

Most guarantees are 3 shots at 100 yards with match grade ammunition. Check out GA Precision for an example.

Cooper guarantees 1/2" 3 shot groups at 100 yards with hand loaded ammo.

No company will ever guarantee sub-MOA at long ranges. Environmental conditions and the shooter have more to do with POI than the rifle, once you start to stretch her legs....
