Subsonic testing

Win sub... I've used them in Zastava's, Win 190 ' cycled great', TOZ's, CZ 452's and probably a few more. Yes, a bit longer bullet and has a small taper in it.

I love this stuff! I quit bringing a pellet gun because of it and now have a Savage Rascal I carry.

I have to try those on squirrels with my CIL 310.

When referring to "subsonic" .22LR rounds, is the reference to "quiet" ammo like the CCI CB? Or is about ammo that shoots below the speed of sound? I understand that ammo that shoots below the speed of sound such as "match" ammo is generally not as "loud" as higher velocity .22LR ammo. Ammo designed to be quiet is going to have a relatively slow MV, but this kind of ammo is not the same "subsonic" ammo as match ammo like the Eley Team referred to in an earler post, is it?

I've tried the CCI Quiet Segmented in my buddy's 10/22 and they wouldn't cycle the action. I don't have a semi-22, I use them in a pair of bolt-action Cooeys most of the time. The Remington Subsonic HP and the CCI Quiets work equally well for shooting paper at 50 yards, I've found both to be very accurate but don't keep serious track of results, so all my evidence is anecdotal.
