Well I finally bought a 9.3x62 and now must begin loading for it. I don’t have any jacketed yet and don’t have a mould.
Has anyone tried paper patching a 358315 .358” bullet to .366” for plinkers? I have a 200 gr. RN mould for my 35 Rem. and am thinking of patching out some for the 9.3. Many years ago I had an 8 mm Mauser with no 8mm mould that I patched some .309 bullets for fun that worked well enough.
Alternatively I have a .375” mould 375248 that makes a 250 gr. has anyone successfully sized bullets down the .009” to use in the 9.3?

Patching might work well enough and with paper patching alloy isn’t a big deal. You cloud gets real soft bullet going to jacketed velocity with a paper patch makes a really good hunting round.

I have sized down 0.458 500 gr and 405gr to 0.446 to try in a 43 Mauser. I didn’t have high hopes due that much sizing down but they work very well. I have a 43 Mauser with a brass scope which I can usually get 2 out of 3 shots touching with the 3rd almost touching the others, at 100 m. You never know. Sizing down may work.

I have not yet tried this, but I am musing about it...

Resizing .40 cal pistol ammo for plinking. I think .40 cast and copper plated might well resize and work OK for this. I have a Rock Chucker that should work for the task. Lee makes a sizing die.

~15 cents each Berry's 9x18 Makarov (0.364" dia.) 95gr plated bullets work ok handloaded properly in my rifle only with a light charge of fast burn rate powder. Low muzzle speed cheap plinking.
