A friend recently acquired a minty Browning A500G (gas operated) with two parts missing, the forearm nut and the action return spring. The nut was ordered and has since been delivered by WGP, unfortunately, he didn't realize that the spring was missing until after ordering the nut. I went online for him and checked out the usual US sources for parts and all of them see to have sold-out the action screw. Have not had a chance to call WGP today to see if by luck alone they still stock that rare part. Here's a pic of the unobtanium:

The spring itself goes between the lower receiver face and the polymer action tube that forces the action back at firing. The spring returns the tube forward, back to battery. Here's a pic from a Browning Gold, identical operation.

If WGP does not stock the part, should I take a gamble and substitute with the Gold spring which seems to be in stock? The spring itself seems to be generic in that it's diameter roughly fits around the mag tube, I'm unsure however about the tension of it.
