As some of you already know I was lucky enough to get a moose tag this year and we did manage to get one. The weather was horrible and with only a 3 day season we were very fortunate to connect with one!
The guns (we're allowed 2 hunters per license in NB):
Me - Ruger M77 in 358 Winchester
Dad - Remington 700 Classic in 35 Whelen
Both topped with Leupold 3-9x Vari-x II's.

We got this little bull the second morning. I drilled it in the chest as it was coming towards us (lung shot) and it dropped like a ton of bricks but managed to get back on it's pins long enough for Dad to nail him with the Whelen
. Needless to say, he didn't get up after that!We were hunting with lifelong friends out of their camp and these guys can not be beaten! 100% the best guys that you could go on a hunt with!
