Does anyone know when Suffield is gonna be open to hunt this year, have gone the last two years and loved it, looking forward to going again. Great opportunity to fill the freezers.

Hunting on the base started on November first last year, probably fire up about the same time this year.
Haha I dod not know that. Back in the early 80's My battalion did week long, live fire training with the Brits in Suffield mixed units including tanks and APC's was a very fun week if not only sometimes dangerous. During one range trip a deer happened to walk in the line of fire when the officer opened the course that deer took quite a few hits.
Nice country would be a great place to hunt.

Grizz, I forgot to mention I am First Nations.
I sustenance hunt Chef, usually hunt on my own reserve and when we go to Suffield we fill our community freezer that feeds elders, the disabled, and the meat is also used for wakes and funerals and ceremonies.
