I recently acquired a Stevens 200 in .308.

This is going to be my project rifle. The idea here is to build it as lightweight as possible. This is new to me as I've only ever dealt with bench/varmint style, so I haven't much experience in putting a light rifle together.

Thus far I haven't done much to it, apart from disassembling it entirely, and polishing all surfaces inside to a mirror finish. I also tweaked the trigger down to about 2.5lbs, then polished it to a mirror finish as well, dropping it to just under 2lbs.

I'm still thinking about scopes, and for the time being, I'm keeping the 22" barrel. Eventually I want to track down a 22" or 24" barrel in as thin a profile as I can find. Probably in .260, but I do have a 20" 7.62x39 barrel already that I might end up using.

So, right now my priority is finding a stock. The stevens stock really really sucks, so I want to replace it with something else that's lightweight and rigid. Being, 6'7" as I am, I'm looking for something around 14" LOP. HS precision makes some really nice looking lightweight stocks - does anyone here have any personal experiences with them? Are there other stocks that I should consider? And do you know where I can go to acquire said stocks?
