I have a basic 10/22 on order and want to scope it for primarily range plinking. Any suggestions on scopes- brand, power, mounts, etc.?
Thank-you.

Greater than 9x if your shooting 100yards ( or a good spotting scope)
4x or less is plenty for 25yards
Im upgrading my 3x9 bushnell for a 24x.
My 10/22 is a little done up for bench shooting 100+yards
An its impossible to see my round without looking at my spotter

If you want the lightest red dot, the bushnell trs-25 is simply awesome. I was recommended it by cgns and they weren't wrong. $115 with high mount.

Agreed, I have one on a 77/22. Great quality glass. A little big for my 10/22 the way it is configured, so I am waiting for a Nikon P22 2-7X BDC to be available in Canada. Same features and quality, but slightly more compact.

Have a look at the Burris Timberline 4.5-14 AO. Compact to fit the gun and enough power to see your targets at the range. Have one on my CZ Scout.

A Simmons 4x .22 Mag for ~ $40 @ LeBaron is hard to beat for plinking out to 50 yards.
Light, compact, solid and even comes with a set of rings.
