a guy offer me ( liama 9mm model x1-B with 6 mag )$450, is it a good deal or not ?I'll shoot 200 rnds for target shooting a week,is this gun durable or any suggestion ? thanks a lot.

If it is indeed a Llama, (Liama as you posted) than NO!! It's a royal hunk of crap, stick to brand names like Glock, Sig HK, Beretta, Walther etc etc. Even if it were reliable, who has parts and mags and how much??? Right. No one I know of carries any. I recommend stearing clear.

At $450 it's overpriced... I wouldn't touch it all all but if you must, I'd say $350 tops (and that's only 'cause it's got extra mags)... ;)

Id say stick with the big names Beretta, Glock,S&W personaly Id go with the 92fs durrable reliable.

best yet..get a Norinco .45 Government...its got everything you want..and you can build it up later on..they also come in 9 for cheap ammo. The CZ is good choice as well.

Smart choice city hunter.

Find a range near you and fire as many range guns as you can to see what feels right for you. All the aforementioned "bigger" brands are very good.

Oh ya and after you try a few to see what you like...

Buy the CZ75b. The only hard choice here is picking 9mm or .40. :D

I know cz/glock are good guns but the prices are little higer, how about ruger ? it only cost about $540 for a new 9mm,another question I am still thinking I should buy 9mm or.40 ? I haven't make a decision yet !9mm bullets are cheaper than .40 but the feeling .40 is stronger than 9mm,I love it,so hard to make a choice, any suggestion would be appreciate ! thanks again

I'd steer clear of the Ruger autos. If price point is a major limiting factor, buy gently used or (as the ING guy says) 'save your money!' ;)

Rugers are 'ok.' They don't get too many major complaints, but they don't get rave reviews either. They are solidly built but they have average triggers, very high bore axis and are not all that fun to shoot. Some are fussy about ammo.

A CZ75 B is 100 times better than the Ruger for only $200 more.

As for 9mm/40, you seem to be looking for a budget gun to stick to budget ammo. You will have just as much fun shooting 9mm, only it will be a lot cheaper.

Try them out , shop around, the cheapest price that I have seen a NIB CZ 75B is around $600. check out with the price at Guns and things, they offer good deal on CZ and the price is tax included. The above comments on Ruger is very true. They are reliable but not something that you can win a match.
