I was wondering if any members had experience with the Troy MCS? It appears to be used a good sniper/counter sniper platform. In your opinion what would be the best scope mount for M14/305 Troy MCS rifle? :confused:

Thx

Jim

The stock itself is a scope mount. The top rail travels all the way to the rear and replaces the rear sights. All you need is rings and you're good to go.

I was actually thinking about a mount that I could remove with ease, rather than loosen the rings of the scope off the rifle. A quick detach scope mount I guess, similar to the ones used on the M4.

Got a LaRue SPR-E on mine and it works great. Except it's on a UTG rail instead of a Troy rail but is nicer to have a longer space for the optic as this rifle is know for distroying optics mounted incorectley. Although on this Troy MCS rig any QD rings would techincaly work.

Whenever I have a tactical optic related, "what do I do" situation.... Satain has always been my go to person... He's tried everything LOL

This is great guys. I like having the option of not having the scope locked on the gun all the time, especially when stored or in transport, or swapping it for the EoTech.

thx.

Okay now I get what you are trying to do. Look for this part from Weaver;

With some Burris XTR rings;

It will be rock soild allowing confedance that your scope won't pack it in from recoil but will also keep the scope nice and low so check weld will be a non issue. Also the Weaver QD will give you the confidance that it won't back out from recoil but a simple twist of those lever's and bamm slap on your Eotech. Also if I could recomend an EoTech would be this 1;

XPS3-0 with there QD built right in. Trust me when I say that not even 3&1/2 inch magnum 00 buck shakes this holo sight and never any issue in battery capartment lossing on you. So another words, on the M14 it will last like the energizer bunny. Also it comes in a more economical version with no NVG called the XPS2-0 model.
