Did you try the search function or are you just trying to pad your post limit to get in the EE? This has been discussed to death AND you didn't list a budget.

I say use a 6-24 Night force.

You can get by with a pretty basic scope if he is only shooting one distance. A 16 power may be nice to see the bullet holes clearly. No need for first focal plain, tactical turrets and parallax adjustment. One thing with the CZ 452 is they have a high bolt throw, so you may need higher rings than you think. I run a rail on my 452 and that helps keep the scope up.

If he is going to shoot longer distances, I would suggest something else!

Welcome.
Your budget will dictate what you're looking for.
I have a vortex viper 3-9x42 that I picked up for about $275 and put on my cz453. (No sights on the heavy barrel)
It's perfectly fine for 50m or more. Decent glass.
I agree w Gorby. The bolt throw is high so you need med-high rings depending on your scope and If your 452 has iron sights.
If it does have sights then high all the way and length may be an issue as the bell may hit the rear sight.
I'd reach out to a dealer of your choice and start a conversation.
I just ordered a Burris 2.5-10x42 for my cz452 22mag coincidentally.
They are supposed to be good for the money ($250 shipped from Nechako) and are shorter than your average scope. I'm hoping it drops in behind the rear sights. If not it's going on something else.
For my center fires, I usually go with Leopold or swarovski but at least 5x the cost
Good luck choosing!

We shoot .22 out to 300m ( no that’s not a typo & yes its around 11.5’ of elavation) and I’m using a $80 scope from Amazon . It has a “ladder” type reticle and I use the second from the bottom at 300m .
If this scope was on my .300WM it would likely last three shots but on a .22 - I’ve been using it for four years . Don’t spend large , spend it on ammo
Ps: good on ya , that boy will cherish these memories

Even at 50 yards I like 16x or even 24x scopes if shooting from benchrest. You can easily see the bullet holes without using additional accessories like spotting scopes. They don't have to be super pricey, for my kids' rifles I had good results with Tasco Varmint or Bushnell Banner with 16 or 24x magnification. Parallax/focus adjustable objectives are a must.

On my kids 457 scout I like to keep it simple. We shoot mostly 25 yards but when my daughter especially wants but more challenge we stretch out to the 100meters.

For this we run a Vortex CrossFire II 2-7x32 rimfire scope. Works perfect for the is very clear and shots can be seen even at 100 meters with shoot and see targets.

Once they can both understand the scope subtensions better I will swap to the Hawke AirMax 2-7x32 half mildot reticle with adjustable parallax. But for now the Vortex is just simpler for them.
