suggestions for inexpensive muzzle brakes in canada for 308

and I was wondering if there are other inexpensive options.. and what could I do if my barrel is not threaded either

I'm just curious why do you want a break? I find the 308 does not have much bite but a break will definitely increase the bark. Also you may suffer accuracy by adding a weight onto the muzzle which may lead to bad vibrations.

Send your barrel to grizzly gunworks and have him thread it for you.

He does nice work and his brakes are very effective.

Get one of their clamp on or go to Frontier firearms to buy one of the Kahntrol clamp on muzzle brake no threading required. I have a Kahntrol clamp on on a T3 300wsm and it is suppose to reduce recoil at least by half from some reviews. I haven't had the time to try it out but from a few video reviews on WM it seems to reduce recoil to a very manageable.
