Looking to buy a 682 Gold E Trap barrel and fore arm, but don't know where to start.

Does any one have some tips? What would be the easiest and cost effective way to buy one?

I have a Beretta 680 mono barrel set up and love shooting Doubles. I know the 682 barrel will fit my receiver because I have tried and fired with my friends barrel and fore arm mounted on my receiver. Worked like a charm... open, closed, fired, ejected... no problem.

I have tried EE with no success.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

You might try Steve Milton at Precision Arms in King City ... alternatively, (Rich) Cole's in South Harpswell, Maine. Last resort, see if Stoeger Canada might order one in for you. Do not assume that they are all perfectly interchangeable ... some fitting and adjustment is more often required than not !

The one and only barrel I asked Stoegers to order for me took longer than 2 years to get and it was for a Teknys semi auto. FS

Cost effective:p Good one .
I would be surpised if the factory would send you
a barrel with having the reciever to fit it to.
Maybe to one of there factory warrenty guys- who ever
that may be. I bet the cost is such that you could almost
get another shot gun

Thanks for the input everyone.

I talked to Stoeger who said they could get me one in four months... I thought that was too long, besides, that is what they say and then it takes 2 years like Fassteel says. The price I was quoted was about 1600 which I though was little too high. There seems to be lots in the USA for aprox 900, but then there is the challenge of getting the pipe up here. The best deal so far I got from Sam @ Al Flahertey's at 1200 brought from Beretta. He seems to go there on a regular basis.

If any one has a way of bringing gun parts up from the USA, I would appreciate the feedback.

Yeah, I could just go and buy a new Beretta 682 Gold E Trap - As Mr. Marshall suggest that it might be better to buy new than to go through the trouble of getting the barrel, but 3500 + hundred is alot more than the 1600 for the barrel on the high end.

There is another reason... the 680 was my dad's who bought it new 28 years ago, so there is a sentimental reason for looking for the barrel to fit. If you were to see the condition of this gun you wouldn't believe it was 28 years old. I still put 100 - 150 shots through it per week of practice... not including registered shoots and never had a malfuntion or replaced any parts... knock on wood:shotgun:.

Again, thanks for the referals (berettaboy + Upnorth)) - all appreciated. Hope to hear some more ideas. Wish me luck.

What I was thinking was if a 686 barrel you tried, these guns
can be had for 1/2 the price of a 682, mind yo I don't know what you
would do with the extra frame $1200 from Al sounds like a deal to me.

rich cole is a beretta factory repair depot... amazing work on beretta's. I went to his shop while on holidays... after I fainted, I bought a bunch of stuff for my 391 there. He will probably need your frame to match the barrels though...

Sorry about your bad luck.

The two I ordered from them were less than a month each. A replacement buttstock was less than two weeks. Guess it depends as to "what's in stock, what isn't or when shipments arrive" ....

Dealing with Rich Cole is great ... takes a little while with Customs, but great work. Been to his shop near Brunswick,
Maine a number of times. Bonus when on holidays down east
... LL Bean's is very nearby, and a new Cabela's only 45 min. away. :)
