I am looking for a new yote/varmit/small cat rifle and here is what I want in the package. .220swift is my preferable cal but would be willing to go with 22-250, left handed, heavy barrel (prefer SS but not a must have), laminate (thumbhole if possible), and can "put a round through a flea's ass at 300 yards." I am quite capable with the right rifle and bipod of shooting small cats and yotes out to 500 meters so it's gotta be accurate. Anyone have any suggestions for a rifle, or know a builder that could make that happen (and what cost)? Good places to get custom stocks and install an action would also be worth hearing about. Just really looking for more of a brainstorm than anything, but a couple of don't wants...don't want a .223 (it's just not ###y enough) and don't really want any fugly rifles..I have my share of utilitarian tack drivers and I want this to be a little more of something to look at. Tell me what you like and why...price isn't a big concern but let's be honest, it's not a rifle that's going to be putting food on the table so I would like to keep it under 1500 without optics.
