Hello all!!

I have been doing research and stumbled across the Sully stock stock.

I will admit I'm not sure of the entire rational for such a stock, but I can see where less moving parts is desirable. Further I understand these are an extremely solid and robust unit.

If someone would care to explain the entire rational behind such an item, I am all ears.

Further, I was wondering if those that have actually used them, and have hands on knowledge might share their opinions and thoughts on them.

Thank you for taking the time.

regards and all the best

The Sully stock is very similar to RRA's entry stock. Both are simply shorter stocks which aid in acquiring an isosceles or "squared up" stance when running a long gun. Either stock is a more robust option than an adjustable stock, provided the fixed LOP works for the user.

I have had a Sully stock on my M4 since 05 great stock and as TDC explained it is a great stock for the isosceles stance it does work quite well in other shooting positions and styles as well. It place your nose about a 1/2" away from the charging handle on your AR it is quite comfortable to use

It was a short stock to overcome the '94 Ban, that they marketed very well.

If you shoot in different layers of clothing (rather typical in Canada) or armor etc., you really need an adjustable stock.

Yes, came out during the assault weapons ban when collapsible stocks were a no no. It has a more useful length the "entry" stocks. I believe that it would be comparable to a 4 pos open to the first notch, they also have a spacer which puts it closer to A1 length. I've been wanting to get my hands on one for quite some time but I've never seen one available in Canada.
