Sunday Afternoon Gopher Shoot

The weather has finally improved and we got out gopher shooting for the first time this year. There's nothing like having the Rockies as your backstop!

My hunting buddy brought his son out for his first gopher shoot, or shooting a firearm for the first time for that matter:

Using my almost 30 year old 10/22... this baby has knocked off more than a few gophers over the years... gopher shooting is too much fun!

I was doing much of the same today out at our place, pretty much the same view just a little less snow. The little buggers are everywhere.

Yes, it was a blast.... hopefully we have a new hunter to support our pastime. He's been out hunting with us before, but today was his first time with trigger time. Heard some other guys shooting today too... we weren't the only guys out. After a long winter, I think spring is finally here! It sounds like your Sunday was enjoyable too?

Yes sir I had a great day! It started off sitting at my shooting bench in a T shirt, drinking coffee, dusting gophers and watching mule deer. I cant think of a better way to start off a Sunday morning

I too got out today. Forgot how entertaining the acrobatics show can be. My 223 appreciated the day out too.

Where do you go around Calgary? The place we went last year just got subbed and there is to much development. We may just head south, stop in a filed and ask the farmer.....
