Slow day, so spent some more time at a local indoor range. Been doing a fair bit of dry fire practice (still fairly new to pistol shooting having gotten into it less than a year ago), trying to REALLY concentrate on finger/trigger control so wanted to add some more live fire to the mix. Brought along the P210 and P226, along with 124g Campro TMJ handloads in both 3.8grains Titegroup and 4.8grains CFE Pistol, although didn't have a whole lot of the latter. So plinked away for a bit and then tried putting together some comparison target with a bit more concentration.

A couple general notes:#I'm still relatively new to pistol shooting and REALLY concentrating on that trigger really makes a difference for me - as was readily apparent between just plinking, thinking I had trigger control,#and then trying to take the extra time to really keep that finger straight on the trigger pull. At 20m the (aftermarket LPA) contrast sights on the P226 work a lot better than the non-contrast P210's - much easier for me to see the front post + target center. Felt recoil between the 3.8g TG rounds and 4.8g CFE Pistol rounds felt very similar, with either the P226 or P210. The P210 is def more accurate than the P226, as expected, even in my hands - I think#the better sights though on the 226 helped get it closer to the 210 at 20M,##for my shooting again with my less than stellar eyes. Finally,#TG is a dirty bastard in comparison to CFE Pistol.#

10 Meter tests, two full mags for each (20 for the P225 and 16 for the P210).

20 Meters 15 rounds total, 3 mags each of 5rds each (didn't have enough CFE rounds left at this point to do both 210 and P226)

Nice shooting BillD, and some good observations. Always fun getting out with a couple tier 1 Sigs.

Thanks gdawg, appreciated - nothing great I know, but compared to where I was last year...well I was lucky even to hit the target sheet at all at 20M LOL.

Thanks as well, and yes I'm liking the CFE Pistol - it seems to work well in all my pistols and does great with .38 special recipes I've tested too. Also with 4.8g CFE P compared to 3.8g TG, I don't worry so much about 9mm double charges either (new to reloading also).
